We provide hot nutritious meals daily and food parcels once a month for the families in our care. We also grow vegetables on our land which are used to supplement these meals.
We have built industrialised kitchens at most of our project sites. In these kitchens our cooks provide nutritious hot meals for the orphans and vulnerable children, the elderly and sick. We also prepare lunch boxes for the children who do not have food to take to school.
We have food gardens with state-of-the art irrigation systems and a roundabout borehole pumping system that operated when the chilren play on the merry-go-round. Jill Frankel has volunteered to help us with preparing the soil, planting and hydoponics. These vegetables, which include spinach, tomatoes, beetroot and more, are used in the kitchen to supplement the meals.
We also provide the families in our care with food parcels once a
month, which consist of maize meal, dishwashing soap, tinned food and
other items.
