Stonehage

We are pleased to announce that all 30 Stonehage runners successfully completed the Flora London Marathon on Sunday 26 April 2009.

A team of 30 Stonehage runners, supported by their team captain, South African long distance running legend Bruce Fordyce, ran the London Marathon to raise money for MaAfrika Tikkun and a leading UK charity for children with cancer,  CLIC Sargent. Stonehage managed to raise around £100,000 in total which will be split equally between the two charities. The Stonehage Charitable Trust was established by the Stonehage Group, an international wealth management and fiduciary services group, in recognition of a moral and social responsibility to reinvest resources into the communities we serve. The Stonehage Charitable Trust’s mission is to create a tangible legacy, supporting innovative projects in the fields of education and healthcare, with emphasis on children and the aged in the regions where the Group is active. In addition, projects are considered which promote excellence in the arts, culture and sports, which reflect the Stonehage Group values.

Due to the tremendous positive feedback and support received following Stonehage’s participation in this event, Stonehage have decided that the London Marathon will become an annual Stonehage event.
